Announcements¶
Announcements are platform-wide messages from administrators. They appear as dashboard banners and remain available on the Announcements page until they expire.
Access: All authenticated users.
Where Announcements Appear¶

| Home Dashboard | Pinned or unread announcements appear near the top of the page. |
| Sidebar → Announcements | Full list of active announcements with All and Unread filters. |
| Modal view | Full title, content, priority, publish date, and expiry date. |
Announcements can have info, warning, or critical priority. Critical notices usually describe maintenance, service degradation, or actions users must take.
Read and Acknowledge¶
- Open Announcements from the sidebar, or click View all on a dashboard banner.
- Select an announcement to open the detail modal.
- Opening an unread announcement marks it as read for your account.
Pinned announcements may continue to appear even after you read them, until an administrator unpins or expires them.
Common Questions¶
Why did an announcement disappear?
The announcement probably reached its expiry time or was removed by an administrator.
Can I reply to an announcement?
No. Use Requests if you need help or want to ask about a notice.
